The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the first army group supported by the Turkish state from Syria arrived in Azerbaijan.

It noted that the first batch of 500 Syrian fighters from the Sultan Murad and Al Hamza divisions had already arrived in Azerbaijan. The Guardian could not verify the reports.

SOHR sources reported that other Syrian rebel fighters funded by Turkey were also preparing to be deployed along the Azerbaijan border.
