Saleh Moslem: We do not want Kurds to fight each other

Democratic Union Party co-presidency council member Saleh Moslem commented on the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) attacks in Amediye and the latest situation in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Moslem said that all Kurds were subjected to attacks by the Turkish state in all four parts of Kurdistan. He also said that Turkey aimed to remove the Autonomous Administration.

Noting that dialogues for national unity had reached an important point, Moslem said, “Our parties and our people should be careful. A critical process is taking place. We should defeat the games of the enemy. The defaming speeches of Masrour Barzani and the KDP’s officials are a part of the plan”.

Moslem also commented on the KDP’s and Turkish state’s attacks on guerilla forces. “In the case of a war in Iraqi Kurdistan, North East Syria will be harmed”, said Moslem. “North East Syria has become a symbol for the unity of Kurds as well”.

Moslem said that Roj Peshmerga forces, used by the KDP, have turned into forces that encircle North East Syria and added that the Turkish state trained and made those forces attack Kurds so they could not be called “Peshmerga”.

Moslem recalled that Peshmergas were Kurdish forces and they stood by Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG) and Women’s Protection Units (YPJ). He continued: “No matter the reason, we do not want Kurds to fight each other. That will harm all Kurds. We have no problem that cannot be solved. We have to ensure dialogue to solve problems. Those who prevent unity will lose. The guerillas fights for Kurdistan in the mountains. Attacks against the guerillas will harm all Kurds”.

Moslem finished by saying, “We should know our enemies and our allies. We should know our strategy. National unity should be the sole agenda of all”.
