Protests held in Europe against the arrest of Leyla Güven

A court in Turkey has sentenced Kurdish politician and People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari (Colemerg) Deputy Leyla Güven to 22 years in prison.

People from the Kurdish diaspora and their supporters took to the streets of Europe to protest against the arrest and imprisonment sentence of Güven and the oppressive politics of Turkey against Kurds.

Protests were held in Berlin, Frankfurt, Brussels, Bern, Biel, Lausanne, Basel and many other cities in Europe.
