Mele Bextiyar mentioned Turkey’s pressure on the Kurdish people in North Kurdistan.

He stated that Kurdish people resisted the Ottoman Empire’s oppressive politics two hundred years ago, and now they are resisting Turkey as well. Turkey remains unsuccessful in spite of all the oppressive politics that it has employed against the Kurds.

Bextiyar also called on the Turkish State to solve the Kurdish issue using dialogue instead of ‘war politics’. However, Turkey still insists on using military methods. Turkey should stop this ‘act of war’ and try to find new ways to engage in politics.
