Mehrdad Sepehri was killed during an arrest by police officers after being pepper-sprayed and tasered while tied to a metal pole in the street, triggering outrage in Iran.

Authorities confirmed an investigation has been launched into the incident, which took place in the northeastern city of Mashhad, in Iran.
