Kurdistani Coalition: Dialogue is essential to resolve conflict

The Kurdistani Coalition has commented on the current agitation among Kurdish parties and called for dialogue: “It is time to ensure national unity, and to preserve and develop our achievements”.

Political parties and organisations which make up the Kurdistani Coalition issued a written statement saying “Dialogue is essential to resolve conflicts”. The statement noted that Kurdish people were subjected to exiles, massacres and genocides, and yet they did not give up the struggle to gain national rights despite the high price they have paid.

The Coalition pointed out that the forces who took advantage of the conflicts among Kurdish parties aimed to deepen the conflicts, and that the Alliance was watching the situation with concern.

In addition, the statement asserted that conflicts among Kurdish parties would lead Kurdish people to fail. “First of all, we call Kurdish parties to prevent probable clashes among themselves and act responsibly against provocative interventions, and to defeat these provocations by coming together for national interests. There has never been a winner of conflicts among Kurdish people”.

The Coalition stated that no one had the right to risk and potentially lose the achievements gained thanks to significant efforts, and emphasised that everyone was responsible for preserving these achievements.

“It is time to ensure national unity and to preserve and develop our achievements. Dialogue is essential for Kurdish parties to solve internal issues, and we call on all sides of the issue to solve their problems in a peaceful manner”.
