The Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP’s) Young Women’s Council organised a workshop to “Take Action!” against harassment, rape and violence towards women.

Discussions were held about the government’s position regarding the Istanbul Convention. The workshop focused on finding solutions to the many problems that women face.

The HDP’s İstanbul Youth Councils also organised an event, in Ümraniye District, rallying around the call to “Always act together to build a free future”.

Gülay Alabuka, an HDP Youth Council member, highlighted young peoples’ concerns, pointing out that the state had launched a wide-ranging attack against the Kurdish freedom movement and all democratic structures.
