The People’s Democratic Party (HDP) in Turkey released a video on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. A key message was: “All over the world, women are resisting male violence and fascism; struggling to establish a democratic, just and equal society! We object to those who stole our lives from us”.

The video addressed a range of concerns, including domestic violence, state violence, the state of emergency laws, refugee women’s problems, environmental struggles and the detrimental role of trustees that have taken over municipalities. The theme of the video was: “We are fighting against patriarchal state violence”.
