Twelve people were detained in Cizre district of Şırnak (Şirnex) in Turkey, during operations conducted against People’s Democratic Party (HDP) members. Former Cizre Municipality Co-Chair Berivan Kutlu and HDP District Co-Chair Güler Tunç were among those detained.

Kutlu, who was replaced by a trustee by the central government, stated that the police had asked her to leave the country during her detention.
