During the meetings of the Kurdish National Union Parties (PYNK), the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS) supported teaching materials prepared by the Syrian government instead of teaching materials in Kurdish for Rojava’s schools.

However, educators stated that the Kurdish language should be protected and noted that ”the Kurdish language is one of the greatest achievements of the revolution and these achievements should be preserved”.
