Joe Biden has become the 46th president of the United States after winning 284 electoral college votes.
The election began on 3 November. More than 150 million citizens voted in the election.

Donald Trump and his team has contested the result and applied to the courts, claiming the election was fraudulent.

Citizens voted to elect 435 members of the House of Representatives and 33 seats in the senate. The election for state assemblies and governorships were also held in several states.
