The Media Centre of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a press statement regarding the media reports about what allegedly happened in the area of Sihêla on Wednesday 16 December.
SDF denied the basis of the news accounts that were published by Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) affiliated media outlets and stated that: “There was no attack on any Peshmerga bases”. SDF also underlined that they always respect the sovereignty of Iraqi Kurdistan and its military forces on its territory. “The coordination between the two sides will continue to serve border security”, stated the SDF.
